About Us

It started with our own light show

SFL Designs is what happens when a Christmas light hobby gets out of hand, in the best way. We run our own animated display (Sisk Family Light Shows) here in Saint Clair, Missouri, and like a lot of people in this hobby, we kept running into the same problem: great controllers and power supplies, and no clean way to mount them.

So we started designing our own mounts. Then mounts for the yard. Then the little clips, caps, and brackets that everybody needs and nobody sells. Friends in the hobby started asking for them, and SFL Designs grew from there.

What we make

Most of the catalog is mounting hardware for animated light displays:

  • SnapMount controller and power supply mounts for the controllers this hobby actually runs: Genius, Kulp, Falcon, Baldrick, and Vivid.
  • Pixel mounting hardware for PVC, EMT, and coro, including clips, standoffs, and spacers that keep pixels straight and secure.
  • Seed pixel tree gear, arch bases, pigtail caps and plugs, and the small parts that finish a build.
  • STL files for folks who would rather print our designs at home.

The SFL Designs product range laid out: controller port boards, clips, mounts, and adapters

Everything printed is made for outdoor duty, in materials like PETG and ASA that hold up to sun, heat, and weather.

And lighting is not the whole story. We also take on custom and contract printing: forms, jigs, and one-off parts for local businesses and other makers. A recent job was a custom print for a construction company. If it can be modeled, we can probably print it, so if you have an odd part in mind, ask.

The printers are not the only tools on the bench, either. A diode laser (xTool S1) and a UV printer (EufyMake E1) handle cutting, engraving, and full-color work, so a lot of jobs never have to leave the shop.

How we work

Every part is designed in house (Fusion 360), printed in house, and tested on our own display before it ever goes up for sale. If a mount would not survive a season in our yard, it does not ship to yours. When something breaks or a customer finds a better way, that feedback goes straight back into the design. That loop, design it, print it, hang it, fix it, is the whole quality department.

We are a small, family-run shop.

Why we do it this way

Our faith is not a marketing line for us. It is the reason this shop runs the way it does. We believe we serve God in all that we do, and that shows up in the work: honest descriptions, fair prices, parts we would hang on our own house, and making it right when something goes wrong. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord." (Colossians 3:23) That is the standard we try to print by.
